A fun comedy looking at the radio shows of yesteryear, complete with melodrama, wacky hosts, and of course, lots of sound effects! It includes singing and acting.

 

 

A bit about the play…

‘Radio Play’is set in the early 1900s in a radio studio in the days when radio was the centre of entertainment and communication for the general public.  The story follows our two radio hosts Happy and Lucky, as they negotiate their regular radio show with all the dramas and highlights of live to air radio, where anything that can happen and usually does!  This is a comedy and all cast will have opportunity for speaking, singing and creating sound effects.  All cast sing the songs together, they are fun and there are a few spots for solo singing if willing. The play is written so every participant gets a fair share of the stage time.
